Bernadette began writing and performing songs whilst living in New York, influenced at the time by both Irish and US songwriters and musicians.  Her material ranges from contemporary storytelling to more reflective, soulful songs.

She has performed live across the UK and on BBC Radio Wales.  One of her songs was also featured in the award-winning, independent Irish film 'JAM', broadcast as part of UTV's 50th Anniversary
Short Film Festival.

Bernadette has co-founded and co-produced four music events series with Rob Tiernan:
Aberystwyth Acoustic Platform, Café Musique, Lampeter Response, and The Acoustic Review.

They have also created a music school for children, offering occasional classes, called Musical Magpies.
